Description
The Boardman Entrance Feeder is a practical tool for beekeepers to supply sugar syrup to their colonies without opening the hive. Designed to fit standard 70mm mason jars, it allows for easy monitoring of syrup levels through the transparent jar. Installation is straightforward: fill the jar with syrup, attach it to the feeder, invert, and place it at the hive entrance. This feeder is particularly useful for feeding newly installed packages, nucs, or supplementing colonies during nectar shortages. However, it’s best used in warmer weather and not recommended during cold conditions or with flow hives. Beekeepers should also be cautious, as entrance feeders can attract robbers or wasps due to the syrup’s proximity to the hive entrance.
